Hello Havok 4, Goodbye Orbits!
The recent release of Havok 4 across the Second Life grid has resulted in the malfunction of many orbiting weapons. As a result, the method that gsmack and gsmackPRO use to orbit no longer works. I have been experimenting with Havok 4 for some time now, but I have yet to produce a true orbit. Sorry about this folks, if I find a way you will get an update!
SafeZoneAssassin 3
Introducing… the SafeZoneAssassin 3!!
The SafeZoneAssassin is a device made specifically for the Safe Zone at the Rausch public combat region. Its purpose is to remove any standing avatar from the Safe Zone and terminate them.
The SafeZoneAssassin was the first weapon of its kind, and since its introduction over a year ago it has grown to be a very powerful and robust weapon. Many attacks were neutered with the release of Havok 4, however the SafeZoneAssassin is back and more powerful than ever before. Now, the SafeZoneAssassin has the Autoban system, which when enabled keeps your target out of the Safe Zone, even when they come back over and over.
The 3rd generation of the SafeZoneAssassin also boasts lower IPS, meaning less lag, faster response times, and a much easier to use interface. The SafeZoneAssassin is easier to set up, you just rez it anywhere outside the Safe Zone and accept a permission dialog (one time), or click the HUD to have it rez a SafeZoneAssassin for you if you are near the Safe Zone border. And did I mention the unit looks sexy?
You can now attack a person with 2 clicks, once on the HUD or SafeZoneAssassin itself, and then the target’s name on a blue dialog menu.
The SafeZoneAssassin 3 has been released, and you can find it in in-world geekCombat vendors or on SL Exchange. If you want to upgrade from the SafeZoneAssassin 2, just wear your old SZA Control HUD.
mapTEK Beta!
The geekCombat mapTEK system generates dynamic maps based on data gathered from a snapshot of a SL region. This is an interesting tool that is more of a proof-of-concept, give it a try.
